Front Desk Customer Service & Graphic Design Specialist

A-K Printing, LLC is seeking a Front Desk Customer Service & Graphic Design Specialist to support customers at the front counter while helping keep print and signage production on schedule. This onsite role in Puyallup, WA blends customer service, order coordination, and hands-on graphic design and prepress work. What You'll Do Welcome walk-in customers and provide professional, friendly support. Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries. Assist customers with printing and signage options, including materials, pricing, and turnaround times. Prepare estimates, take orders, and follow up with customers as needed. Maintain clear customer communication throughout the ordering process. Handle questions and concerns professionally. Enter, organize, and schedule incoming print and sign orders. Prioritize jobs based on deadlines and production requirements. Coordinate with production staff to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time. Monitor job progress and share updates with customers. Maintain accurate job details, specifications, and customer records. Manage multiple orders while keeping workflow organized. Create, edit, and prepare customer artwork using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop . Set up print-ready files for digital printing, large-format printing, and signage. Check artwork for proper sizing, resolution, bleeds, margins, and color settings. Resize, modify, and adjust customer-provided designs. Prepare files for items such as business cards, flyers, brochures, postcards, banners, yard signs, stickers, and other printed materials. Identify and correct common artwork issues before production. Communicate artwork requirements and necessary corrections to customers. What You Bring Previous experience in the commercial printing and/or sign industry is REQUIRED. Intermediate Adobe Illustrator skills are REQUIRED. Intermediate Adobe Photoshop skills are REQUIRED. Experience preparing print-ready artwork and production files. Knowledge of printing processes, paper stocks, signage materials, and finishing options. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to answer phones, assist walk-in customers, and coordinate job scheduling at the same time. Excellent organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to multitask and remain productive under pressure. Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, professional attitude. Dependability, punctuality, and a commitment to meeting deadlines. Familiarity with digital printing, large-format printing, vinyl graphics, and signage. Experience estimating printing and sign jobs. Knowledge of PDF preflight, CMYK color, bleeds, and print production requirements. Experience with print shop order management or scheduling software.
