Job Summary Deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, the nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies, and the ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies. The role involves using the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate care. All steps address biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self‑care, educational, and discharge‑planning needs, documented in a timely manner with age‑appropriate considerations. Position Highlights Dynamic, post‑op surgery unit with interdisciplinary team. Provides quarterly education workshops. Focus on individualized, high‑quality care for cancer patients. Responsibilities Assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families using the nursing process. Integrate patient- and family‑centered care and Duffy’s quality caring factors into practice. Identify, document, and provide patient education based on learning needs. Participate in evidence‑based improvement activities related to area of practice. Engage in professional development consistent with regulatory requirements and job expectations. Desired Qualifications 1 year of inpatient hospital experience. Medical‑surgery experience as a registered nurse. Bachelor’s Degree in Science of Nursing. In lieu of a bachelor’s, an Associate’s Degree in Nursing plus 1 year of relevant experience. Preferred: Master’s Degree. Current RN licensure in the State of Florida or valid multi‑state privilege to practice in Florida. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Salary $36.79–$55.17 per hour.
