At Klug Law Firm, you will advise corporate clients, handle substantive immigration matters and lead an established team of three paralegals, including a senior paralegal. You will join our existing team of attorneys and have a meaningful voice in improving workflows, developing your team and delivering excellent client service.

The role combines approximately equal parts legal work and people management, with support from our Director of Operations. It is well suited to an experienced attorney who enjoys practicing law and taking responsibility for a team’s progress.

What you will do

\n

\n
• Develop case strategies and prepare, review and oversee business immigration petitions and applications, including H-1B, L-1, PERM and related matters.
\n
• Advise corporate clients on immigration strategy, eligibility, timelines and developments, with clear communication and dependable follow-through.
\n
• Lead and develop your paralegal team through thoughtful delegation, clear expectations and constructive feedback.
\n
• Manage workloads and monthly team filing goals while maintaining legal quality, accuracy and responsive client service.
\n
• Identify workflow obstacles, implement practical improvements and address performance issues fairly, with support from our Director of Operations.
\n
• Stay current on relevant law and policy and counsel clients on corporate immigration policies, I-9 and E-Verify compliance.

\n

What you will bring

\n

\n
• A J.D. from a U.S. law school and active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
\n
• At least five years of substantive U.S. business immigration experience as an attorney, including strong, recent experience with H-1B, L-1 and PERM matters.
\n
• At least two years of direct people management, with responsibility for assigning work, coaching employees and achieving measurable team results.
\n
• Experience with a broader range of business immigration matters, such as E visas, TN, O-1, I-140, EB-1 and adjustment of status.
\n
• Strong legal writing, sound judgment, attention to detail and clear client communication.
\n
• Resourcefulness and follow-through: you take initiative, work through setbacks and help your team resolve problems.
\n
• A record of sustained ownership in prior roles and a caring, professional approach to clients and colleagues.
\n

Experience working successfully in a fully remote environment and familiarity with INSZoom are preferred.
