UW Information Technology (UW-IT) has an outstanding opportunity for Security Analyst to join their team. Reporting to Technology Manager, the Security Analyst serves as a technical security professional, supporting secure research computing and cloud environments used by the University community. This position is responsible for implementing, administering, and continuously improving security controls across research infrastructure and cloud platforms, with an emphasis on regulated research environments and institutional security requirements. The position works independently and collaboratively with researchers and technical staff to assess security risks, implement security best practices, support compliance initiatives, and develop operational processes that enable secure research computing services. The Security Analyst helps ensure that research services remain secure, reliable, and aligned with institutional and regulatory expectations. Full-time Key Responsibilities Administer security controls for research computing and cloud environments. Monitor, evaluate, and improve the security posture of research infrastructure.
