Benefits Medical insurance Vision insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Responsibilities Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or argue for the prosecution against defendants in criminal cases. Conduct legal research to gather relevant information for cases, analyze legal data, and interpret laws, regulations, and rulings. Prepare and draft legal documents such as contracts, depositions, pleadings, appeals, and motions. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, mediate disputes, and advise clients on their legal rights. Examine legal data to determine the advisability of defending lawsuits. Manage and oversee various cases from inception through resolution, ensuring all proceedings are conducted timely and efficiently. Participate in hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, and client meetings. Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases. Guide clients through the legal process, explaining the law, their rights, and their options. Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutors, and other parties involved in each case. Stay updated with the latest trends and legislation in criminal law and propose new ideas to improve the efficiency of our legal services. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Criminal Defense Attorney or similar role. Must be licensed to practice law in the state. Proven experience in court trials, hearings, and depositions. Proficiency in legal research, legal writing, and drafting legal documents. Knowledge of criminal law, rules of evidence, and procedural law. Excellent negotiation, mediation, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. Bilingual ability is a must. Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
