A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from12:30pm to 9:00pm A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide safe, efficient, patient-centeredandevidence-based medication services. Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations. Document services in a complete,accurateandtimelymanner. Ensure all pharmacy operationscomply withnational accreditation standards. Maintain professional interactions with patients tofacilitatesuccessful patient experiences. Educate and train students, residents, othercaregiversand/or patients. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: PharmD orBachelor’sof Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within90 daysof hire CurrentBasic Life Support (BLS)Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Crossandcompletion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course inthe administration of immunizations or certificationwithin90 daysof hire for individuals administering immunizations Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Board certification Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience preferred. Post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or relevant experience preferred for Clinical Pharmacists hired in a Specialized Pharmacy practice area Physical Requirements : Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Position often includes reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting. Must have normal or corrected vision. Must have ability toclearly communicate verbally by phone or in person Personal Protective Equipment : Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
