OB/GYN Needed at Inpatient Facility in Escondido, California

Job Overview Medical Director (MD) – Locum position (Reference ID: ORD-213314-MD-CA). The role requires in‑house 24‑hour call shifts supporting approximately 220 deliveries per month, with a 3‑clinician staffing model (2 physicians and 1 midwife). The assignment is ongoing with an indefinite start date. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic services during 24‑hour in‑house call shifts. Respond to obstetric and gynecologic emergencies and maintain continuous availability for cases requiring immediate intervention. Collaborate with maternal‑fetal medicine specialists onsite and in‑house anesthesia support to ensure optimal patient care. Participate in a 3‑clinician model consisting of 2 physicians and 1 midwife on all shifts. Qualifications Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology (or equivalent). Prescriptive authority. Ability to work in‑house 24‑hour call shifts. Experience in a Level III NICU environment preferred. Support Staff Two physicians and one midwife. Maternal‑fetal medicine specialists onsite.
