Responsibilities Spring Mountain Treatment Center is currently seeking dynamic professionals to join our team as an experienced Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN). The Registered Nurse (RN) is the clinical staff member who interacts with patients on a daily basis. They should have strong communication and observation skills and be able to accurately process and document information. The RN provides structure and safety to the milieu environment as directed by hospital and unit procedures and manages patient behavior effectively. The RN develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum. About Spring Mountain Treatment Center Spring Mountain Behavioral Services has provided mental health services to the Las Vegas community since 2001, treating children, teens, adults and senior adults with behavioral health or addiction issues. The facility is a 110‑bed mental health center offering acute crisis stabilization services, intensive physician involvement, daily group and educational programs, and a structured therapeutic environment. The primary location focuses on stabilizing acute symptoms for patients ages 5 to 65 and offers select outpatient programs for teens. The secondary location houses Adult Outpatient and Senior Adult Inpatient programs. Qualifications Current LCSW in State of Nevada or Ph.D. level Master’s degree in social work or equivalent master’s degree or greater in a recognized mental health field; experience with age‑specific inpatient setting preferred. Five years’ experience working with children, adolescents and adults, preferably in a hospital outpatient setting. Must have knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of psychiatric treatment, standards and requirements of all hospital agencies. Experience in taking psychosocial history and case management. Knowledge of developmental psychology of children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults and the ability to identify pertinent clinical information via written correspondences and medical records documentation. Knowledge of group therapy theory and practice, group processes, therapeutic relationship processes, age specific growth and development, addictions issues, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management and aggressive behaviors and CPR training. Must have minimum of three years’ experience working within a counseling position, two of which should be progressive supervisory and administrative role. Possesses knowledge of clinical issues related to substance abuse patients and their discharge planning. Experience in developing, managing and marketing outpatient programs, specifically Intensive Outpatient Services and Partial Hospitalization Programs. Understand and honor the established hospital rules, regulations and Policy and Procedures. Good communication skills, i.e., reading, writing, and speaking. Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions. Good leadership qualities which includes self‑control, patience, and empathy. New hires are required to attend 1 full week of New Employee Orientation on day shift, normally 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Must successfully pass background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check).
