Join our district and be a part of something great!The Custodian is responsible for the routine care and upkeep of an assigned facility by performing a variety of duties to maintain the facility in an attractive, safe and sanitary manner. The Custodian also assists in preparing facilities for classroom activities, and district, building and community events.This is a 12 month position, part-time position.$17.24 - $21.63 per hour (based on relevant work experience)Evenings, Monday through FridayJob DutiesCleans assigned classrooms, offices, gym, restrooms, and/or grounds (e.g. vacuums; mops; sweeps; dusts; wipes down surfaces; empties pencil sharpeners, trash and recycling, replenishing supplies etc.)Performs summer maintenance deep clean (e.g. strip/wax floors, moves furniture, washes walls, windows, floorboards and furniture, etc.)Performs minor maintenance as needed. (e.g. replaces ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and air filters; changes vacuum bags, etc.)Secures facilities and grounds (e.g. locks doors and gates, sets alarms, turns off lights, etc.)Interacts positively with team, staff members, students and guests.RequirementsOne or more years' experience in a custodian, housekeeper, or janitor position is preferred.Able to perform snow or ice removal during times of inclement weather.Must pass a pre-employment background check.
