Senior Project Manager
Albers Management & Design Services, LLC
Senior Project Manager | Mechanical-Systems Commissioning Coordinator | Greenfield Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
Albers Management & Design Services | Lebanon, Indiana | Full-time, on-site
We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to coordinate the turnover of mechanical systems on a new pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Lebanon, Indiana. The job is on-site, full-time, and you’ll need to start soon. It requires a strong background in construction management and systems readiness.
The position is with Albers Management & Design Services, LLC (Albers). You’ll report to the Project Construction Lead. You’ll do your work mostly in the field, keeping accurate and current track of the completion of all systems assigned to you during the entire project lifecycle—from design and construction through Mechanical Completion, Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q), and final handover to Client Operations.
You’ll be the manager of the turnover process that moves the systems through C&Q and hands them over to operations. You’ll be the single source of information about system readiness, providing the data needed to help with schedule integration, C&Q sequencing, operational readiness planning and program governance reporting. All turnover packages and documentation must be accurate, complete and compliant with project, regulatory, and GMP / GDP requirements.
Core responsibilities
- System tracking and reporting. Maintain trackers across design, construction, commissioning, and turnover; validate contractor data against project milestones; escalate gaps, discrepancies, and delays; produce Power BI readiness dashboards and weekly milestone reports.
- Schedule and readiness integration. Track system risks, constraints, and dependencies with System Owners; align turnover priorities with C&Q sequencing; flag systems nearing C&Q entry that have outstanding issues or GMP risks; support CQV and startup planning.
- Turnover management. Define acceptance criteria; review turnover packages for accuracy, completeness, and GMP/GDP compliance; verify installation records, ITRs, CTPs, weld records, and quality dossiers; plan and sequence turnovers; coordinate Mechanical Completion walkdowns; manage punch-list closeout.
- Stakeholder coordination. Serve as the central coordination point among construction, C&Q, contractors, engineering, and operations; escalate documentation gaps and readiness risks.
- Compliance. Ensure compliance with EHS and regulatory requirements and support compliant document retention.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years supporting system turnover, commissioning, qualification, or construction in a highly regulated industry.
- Demonstrated understanding of project controls, construction, and C&Q workflows—including system turnover and Mechanical Completion on large-scale GMP projects.
- Proficiency in Power BI, SharePoint, and managing large volumes of cross-discipline data.
- Ability to identify and promptly escalate risks and discrepancies to senior stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating system walkdowns, punch lists, and readiness activities.
- Familiarity with GMP/GDP requirements and quality-documentation processes.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Lebanon, Indiana.
Preferred: Owner's Representative or client-side project-management experience; advanced control systems (DCS, SCADA, BMS, MPC/APC); CQV experience; greenfield or regulated-project experience; relevant certification (PMP, CCM, PE, etc.); familiarity with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar tools.
Education: Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
Logistics and Environment
Full-time, on-site. Regular work in active construction areas requires walking the site, climbing stairs, navigating uneven surfaces, accessing equipment areas, and wearing PPE. Additional hours or weekend support may be required during critical phases. Travel is minimal. Employment is contingent on background and drug screening, client approval, site access, and U.S. work authorization. No new immigration sponsorship. Relocation or residence within commuting distance is required; ordinary commuting expenses are the employee's responsibility.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive package commensurate with experience. Monthly per diem applies. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance (company pays 80% of premiums); 401(k) with up to 3% company match; 15 days PTO; separate paid sick leave.
Equal Opportunity
Albers is an equal opportunity employer and provides reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities and to applicants whose sincerely held religious beliefs require accommodation.
