Salesperson

Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Salesperson for its New York, New York location. Duties: Engage with clients to market innovative financial products, specifically structured notes, warrants, and Over-the-Counter (OTC) options linked to volatility-controlled and decrement indices. Responsible for articulating complex quantitative financial and QIS (Quantitative Investment Strategies) concepts in a clear, compelling manner to build professional client relationships and generate new business opportunities. Responsible for optimizing and articulating index design and methodologies to the approval committee / board of various distribution channels. Design and optimize pricing models and payoff structures for structured products linked to volatility-controlled and decrement indices, leveraging advanced knowledge of derivatives pricing and risk management frameworks. Optimize pricing efficiency and assist the trading desk in understanding and managing complex risk positions, specifically for volatility-controlled and decrement indices, ensuring the firm provides competitive offerings for clients. Cross-Functional collaboration with Structuring, Trading, Legal, and Compliance teams to develop and execute index-linked structured products. Create pitch decks and marketing materials that highlight the benefits of structured products linked to thematic and volatility-controlled/decrement indices. Responsible for the systematic transfer of specialized knowledge across sales teams globally, establishing best practices in index development, client engagement protocols, and transaction execution. Deliver Client-Centric solutions, this includes customizing index methodologies, pricing models, and marketing materials to align with client objectives. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Business, Finance, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related field and 2 years of experience as a Salesperson, Structuring Associate / Vice President or related position engaging with current and potential financial intermediaries and/or institutional clients to market financial products including structured investment linked to QIS (Quantitative Investment Strategies).
• 2 years of experience must include: Designing and optimizing pricing models and payoff structures for structured products linked to volatility-controlled and decrement indices, using knowledge of derivatives pricing and risk management;
• Knowledge of SEC/Reg S requirements and other regulatory frameworks globally: suitability and best interest, to ensure that structured products and indices comply with legal and compliance standards;
• Performing financial and statistical analysis on back-tested index data, evaluating metrics - return, volatility, and dividend yield;
• Knowledge of the landscape for selling and distributing structured products linked to volatility-controlled and decrement indices in various segments targeted by the business, such as private banks / wealth management firms, broker dealers and wholesalers, and registered investment advisors;
• The process for onboarding new volatility-controlled and decrement indices on existing or potential structured product distribution platform, including due diligence, index and product approvals, documentation and go-live execution.
