Manufacturing Controller

We are currently assisting our client, an industrial manufacturer, with a Manufacturing Controller search in the Cleveland, OH area.

Responsibilities :

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze financial and operational data, identify trends or variances, and develop practical solutions to improve performance and control costs.
• Oversee payroll processing and related reporting in coordination with the company’s outside accounting firm.
• Maintain effective accounting controls and support budgeting, cash-flow planning, inventory accounting, and other financial needs of a small manufacturing business.

Key Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Experience as a Manufacturing Controller, or as a manufacturing accountant ready to advance into a controller role; comparable experience will also be considered.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems, including inventory, costing, and production-related financial data.
• Ability to manage month-end close, journal entries, payroll coordination, and financial analysis while identifying practical solutions from operational and financial data.
