Estate Planning Attorney

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Attorney specializing in Estate Planning to support and grow an estate planning practice in the Philadelphia market. The ideal candidate will have strong experience advising individuals and families on wealth preservation, asset protection, estate planning strategies, and related legal matters. The attorney will focus primarily on estate planning while also handling related estate, trust, probate, guardianship, and civil litigation matters as needed. This role requires a self-starter who can manage client relationships, provide strategic legal guidance, and collaborate effectively with firm leadership and support staff. Key Responsibilities Advise clients on estate planning strategies based on their personal, family, and financial circumstances. Draft and review wills, revocable living trusts, asset protection trusts, Medicaid trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. Develop asset protection and wealth preservation strategies. Counsel clients on long-term care planning, Medicaid planning, and asset preservation. Assist with trust funding and estate plan implementation. Handle probate, estate, trust, guardianship, and related litigation matters. Attend court appearances, hearings, and dispute resolution proceedings. Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, discovery requests, and other litigation documents. Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff on client matters. Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and counseling. Participate in networking, community outreach, and educational presentations. Support practice growth through business development initiatives. Meet client service, productivity, and performance objectives. Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Minimum 3 years of estate planning experience in a law firm environment. Experience drafting and administering: Revocable trusts Asset protection trusts Medicaid trusts Wills Related estate planning documents Strong knowledge of estate planning, trust administration, asset protection, and probate procedures. Excellent communication, client counseling, and relationship-building skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and firm leadership. Preferred Qualifications Experience with probate, trust, estate, guardianship, or civil litigation matters. Experience with Medical Assistance applications. Knowledge of crisis planning and long-term care planning. Courtroom experience, including hearings, motion practice, and client advocacy.
