Technical Project Manager – MarTech / Customer Data Platform

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to support a strategic Customer Data Platform (CDP) implementation focused on enabling more connected, personalized customer experiences across multiple marketing channels.

This individual will serve as a key delivery lead across a complex MarTech ecosystem involving Salesforce Data 360, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Unica, enterprise data platforms, integration/connectivity teams, reporting teams, and a third-party systems integrator.

The ideal candidate does not need to be a hands-on developer, but must have enough technical fluency to understand how data, platforms, integrations, customer segmentation, and downstream activation channels work together. This person will serve as the connective tissue across multiple technical workstreams—identifying dependencies, surfacing risks, driving execution, and ensuring teams remain aligned throughout the implementation.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has supported a large-scale MarTech, CDP, data, or digital transformation and is comfortable operating within an evolving environment with multiple stakeholders and technical dependencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the execution and coordination of a complex Customer Data Platform and MarTech implementation across multiple business and technology teams.
\n
• Develop a strong understanding of the end-to-end ecosystem, including data ingestion and connectivity, Salesforce Data 360, customer segmentation, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Unica, downstream channel activation, and reporting.
\n
• Serve as the primary connective point across internal data, engineering, platform, marketing technology, reporting, and business teams.
\n
• Coordinate closely with third-party systems integrators and internal technology teams to ensure solutions are delivered according to business and technical requirements.
\n
• Identify cross-functional risks, technical dependencies, blockers, and downstream impacts before they affect overall delivery.
\n
• Ensure individual teams and vendors are not developing solutions in silos and that implementation decisions align with the broader target-state architecture.
\n
• Drive resolution of data, connectivity, integration, platform, and activation dependencies by engaging the appropriate technical resources.
\n
• Support the implementation of predefined customer journeys by coordinating the datasets, customer segments, platform capabilities, and downstream activation components required for successful delivery.
\n
• Ensure integrations between Salesforce Data 360 and downstream marketing platforms are appropriately incorporated into the implementation and future operating model.
\n
• Coordinate with reporting and measurement teams to ensure required data is available to support post-launch reporting.
\n
• Manage project plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, issues, and deliverables across an evolving pilot environment.
\n
• Facilitate effective communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, platform owners, and external implementation partners.
\n
• Support knowledge transfer from third-party implementation partners to internal resources to enable long-term ownership and sustainability.
\n
• Help establish structure, processes, and accountability within a program where requirements and priorities may continue to evolve.
\n
• Support Agile/hybrid delivery practices and work across tools such as Jira, Workfront, and other project management platforms.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n
• 6–8+ years of experience in technical project management, technical program management, technology delivery, or a similar role.
\n
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional technology implementations involving multiple systems, teams, and technical dependencies.
\n
• Strong experience within MarTech, customer data, digital transformation, data platforms, or related technology environments.
\n
• Experience supporting or leading a Customer Data Platform (CDP) implementation or similarly complex customer-data/marketing technology initiative.
\n
• Strong understanding of end-to-end system and data flows, including how data moves between enterprise systems, platforms, integrations, and downstream activation channels.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to identify technical dependencies and risks without needing to personally develop or configure the underlying technology.
\n
• Experience managing delivery across internal technology teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors or systems integrators.
\n
• Proven ability to operate successfully in ambiguous or evolving environments where requirements, timelines, and technical approaches may change.
\n
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to independently drive execution, escalate blockers, and maintain accountability across multiple workstreams.

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• Experience with Salesforce Data 360 / Salesforce Data Cloud or another enterprise Customer Data Platform.
\n
• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other enterprise marketing technology platforms.
\n
• Experience with Unica or similar campaign management/decisioning platforms.
\n
• Previous experience working with or alongside a large systems integrator or consulting organization such as Deloitte, Accenture, PwC, EY, or KPMG.
\n
• Previous consulting or systems integration experience supporting large enterprise transformation programs.
\n
• Familiarity with customer segmentation, audience activation, customer journeys, and omnichannel marketing concepts.
\n
• Experience with Jira, Workfront, Unica Plan, or similar project/delivery management tools.
\n
• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
\n
• Exposure to SQL, data engineering, data architecture, or integration concepts is beneficial but not required.
\n

What Success Looks Like

Within the first several months, this individual will have developed a strong understanding of the end-to-end CDP and MarTech ecosystem, established visibility across key dependencies and risks, and become a trusted coordination point across internal teams and external implementation partners.

Success will be measured by the individual's ability to keep interconnected workstreams aligned, proactively identify issues that could impact customer journey delivery, drive implementation against defined requirements, and help ensure that the organization is positioned to successfully operate and scale the solution beyond the initial pilot.
