Community Caregiver (Part-Time | Casual)

Position Summary
Bethesda Sunrise Village is seeking a dedicated Community Caregiver to provide high-quality, resident-centered care in a supportive assisted living environment. This role focuses on promoting each resident's independence, dignity, and overall well-being while maintaining a safe, comfortable, home-like atmosphere.

Schedule
This casual, part-time position includes:

• Picking up at least three shifts per month
• One weekend per month
• $1/hour shift differential for weekend shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
• Support medication reminders and delegated nursing tasks under RN/LPN supervision
• Monitor and document vital signs; report changes in residents' conditions
• Assist with meals, light housekeeping, and activities of daily living
• Engage residents through meaningful activities and social interaction
• Maintain accurate documentation per organizational policies
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state-approved Nursing Assistant program and listed on the Minnesota registry, or completion of employer-provided caregiver training
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and observational skills
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or home care preferred

Requirements

• Successful DHS background study (no disqualifications)
• TB screening clearance
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs
• High school diploma or GED preferred
