Associate Director, Research Strategic Planning and Operation-Project Management

This Associate Director role leads research program management and strategic operations across discovery through early clinical development at a clinical-stage biotech company. The position partners with research leadership to coordinate cross-functional initiatives, manage project milestones, and support portfolio progression while contributing to broader operational strategy. Based in San Francisco with three days weekly on-site, the role requires strong program management expertise and scientific background in biotechnology environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with research leads and functional teams to execute partnered and internal programs
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans with timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings and ensure alignment on objectives and deliverables
• Track program progress and manage critical milestones toward clinical development
• Support broader research operations and strategic initiatives as strategic partner to leadership

Requirements

• Project management experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical research environments
