Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Flex Pool)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (0645–1915) | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week following the first week of orientation

Key Responsibilities

• Float between various medical and surgical units, including a Medical Unit, a Surgical Acute Unit, and a Cardiovascular Unit
• Deliver direct patient care across units with varying nurse-to-patient ratios (Medical 1:6 days/eves, Surgical Acute 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4)
• Operate unit equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
• Adhere to professional nursing attire standards (clean scrubs) and facility dress code policies
• Complete unit-specific orientation and training programs provided for each assigned unit
• Maintain active State of Hawaii RN license prior to assignment start date

Required Qualifications

• Active State of Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment (candidates without an active HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer)
• 2–10 years of registered nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Documented proof of immunity required; medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documentation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification
• Procedural Sedation certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
