About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join its legal team and provide expert legal support in the areas of pharmacy operations and programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for offering sound and actionable legal advice on a range of regulatory and operational matters, with a focus on pharmacy program and pharmacy benefit management issues, as well as state and federal healthcare regulatory concerns. This role requires a motivated lawyer with a Juris Doctor degree, a license to practice law, and at least 8 years of experience, preferably with a background in healthcare or insurance. The Associate General Counsel will work closely with business leaders to develop strategies that align with the company's goals and will be involved in legal review, analysis, and research on complex issues. Key responsibilities for the Associate General Counsel include providing legal advice on pharmacy benefit programs, insurance policies, government contracts, and general business matters. The role also involves representing the company in legal proceedings and dealings with regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare and insurance law, particularly in the areas of regulatory compliance and litigation, and will be adept at clear and concise communication, as well as negotiations. The position is based in one of the company's office locations and is a hybrid role, requiring in-office hours 3 days a week.
