The Assembler C is responsible for performing a wide range of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly tasks. This includes skilled hand assembly work as well as operation of automated production equipment. The Assembler must be able to read, comprehend, and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and related documentation.Essential Functions:Follow and comply with documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructionsAssemble mechanical, optical, or electrical components and subassemblies following specified work instructions and procedures to ensure finished product meets established operational, quality, and cosmetic requirementsContinuously perform visual inspections of materials for defects and conducts any range of functional tests and cleaning at prescribed intervals to ensure proper operation of various components during assemblyReport deviations from standard to appropriate resource for review, instruction and authorization and conducts quality inspection at specified intervalsPerform accurate data and record keepingMaintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety proceduresApply basic math skills to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight, measurement, volume, and distanceWork with RTV, epoxy, and other bonds/adhesivesPerforms job duties in a manner that complies with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies, and proceduresComplete basic testing operations by loading units, starting test programs, and evaluating basic pass/fail criteriaParticipate in meetings and working groups to solve problems, communicate issues, obtain approvals, and maintains specific level of knowledge pertaining to new requirements or policiesTraversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift (up to 12 hours).Qualifications:Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior or relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 2 years of prior related experiencePreferred Additional Skills:Demonstrated proficiency at operating 25%-50% of workstations as documented by training recordEntry-level soldering with certification, if applicableIf applicable, IPC J-STD-001 Solder certification required with entry-level solderingIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state $19.95 - $36.78. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
