Warehouse Packager (6AM-2:30PM)

Weekly Pay $20.00/hr

Job Description

This role supports the assembly and shipping departments by accurately packaging products and preparing them for shipment. You will follow detailed work instructions, move products throughout the warehouse, and ensure orders are packaged, labeled, and shipped correctly using various carriers. Training schedule will be 8AM-4:30PM!

Responsibilities

• Move products throughout the warehouse to staging, packing, and shipping areas.
• Receive items into stock and update inventory records using warehouse systems.
• Create shipping orders and prepare documentation for outbound shipments.
• Use various transportation and logistics companies, such as UPS and FedEx, to ship packages.
• Pick customer orders using RF scanners and ensure correct items and quantities are selected.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory control activities.
• Support shipping and receiving tasks, including loading, unloading, and staging materials.
• Operate pallet jacks to move pallets and materials safely within the warehouse.
• Perform kitting by grouping components and materials into complete kits for production or shipping.
• Use SAP or other ERP systems and computer tools to track inventory, orders, and shipments.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned to support warehouse, production, and shipping operations.

Essential Skills

• Physical stamina - Must be able to lift up to 30-50lbs periodically!
• Experience with packaging, order picking, and final packaging and labeling tasks.
• Ability to use RF scanners for picking orders and inventory activities.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to work with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Experience or familiarity with inventory control, shipping, and receiving processes.
• Ability to use labeling software to create and apply shipping and product labels.
• Comfort working with transportation and logistics providers such as UPS and FedEx.
• Ability to perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Experience using pallet jacks to safely move materials within a warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate packaging, labeling, and order fulfillment.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety rules.
• Willingness to learn and follow training for warehouse, packaging, and shipping procedures.

The facility focuses on manufacturing automated drives, brake systems, and clutches in a low-volume, high product mix environment. The warehouse and production areas are very clean, well conditioned, and spacious, with departments clearly separated to support efficient workflows. The environment is organized and designed to help employees stay relatively clean throughout the day while working with modern equipment, inventory systems, and material handling tools.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
