RN - Dialysis

This position requires a Day 5x8-Hour shift from 5:30 AM to 10:30 PM, including weekends every other week. Additional shifts may occur on Sundays during holidays. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Charge Nurse for our Dialysis unit, responsible for overseeing a team and ensuring quality care for patients undergoing dialysis treatments. This individual will lead a 24 chair unit and provide support for acute care situations as needed. Responsibilities Supervise nursing staff within the Dialysis unit, providing leadership and guidance. Manage a patient care pod, including setup and operation of Fresenius machines. Perform procedures such as cannulation of AV grafts and fistulas. Administer blood and blood products as required. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety procedures. Assist in the evaluation of patient conditions and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Float to other dialysis locations as necessary. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 1 year of Charge Nurse experience in Dialysis. Experience in chronic outpatient dialysis and acute care required. Current BLS certification is required. Active NY state nursing license required for submission.
