RN PreOp PRN

RN PreOpMemorial Hermann Surgery Center, Woodlands Parkway is seeking a motivated RN PRE-OP to join our team. We have 4 OR rooms and 1 treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedics, Neurology, ENT, Pain Management, Podiatry, Plastic Surgery. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.Deliver compassionate, efficient care to patients in the immediate post-anesthesia phaseMonitor patients for adverse reactions or complications following surgeryManage airway, pain control, and vital signs until patients meet discharge criteriaDocument assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptlyAdminister medications and respond to changes in patient status using sound clinical judgmentProvide patient education and post-op instructions to patients and their familiesCollaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and fellow RNs to ensure seamless transitions of careAdhere to infection control and patient safety standards at all timesQualificationsCurrent RN license in the state of Texas, in good standingBLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS a plus)1–2 years of experience in Pre-Op, PACU, or perioperative nursing preferredPrevious experience in an ambulatory surgery center or outpatient setting is a plus
