Tax Associate

Our client is seeking a Tax Associate to join their growing tax team. This position will support a variety of tax compliance and advisory engagements while working closely with senior tax professionals and clients. The ideal candidate will have public accounting experience and a strong foundation in federal and state taxation. Responsibilities Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and other entities Assist with quarterly and annual tax compliance engagements Prepare and review tax workpapers, supporting schedules, and tax adjustments Research federal and state tax issues and communicate findings to senior team members Assist with tax planning and identifying potential tax-saving opportunities Work with clients to gather financial information and resolve tax-related questions Reconcile financial and tax records and investigate discrepancies Assist with IRS and state tax notices, inquiries, and audits Support tax provision and estimated tax calculations as needed Maintain organized engagement files and ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule Collaborate with Managers and Senior Associates on multiple client engagements Stay current on changes to federal and state tax laws and regulations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 1–3 years of public accounting or tax experience preferred Experience with federal and state tax compliance Strong understanding of basic accounting principles Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other accounting/tax software Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities CPA or CPA eligibility is a plus Preferred Experience Partnership and corporate tax experience High-net-worth individual taxation Real estate or private equity tax experience Experience with multi-state tax returns Exposure to tax research and planning Experience with CCH Axcess, GoSystem, OneSource, or similar tax software What We Offer Performance-based bonus opportunities Hybrid work environment Medical, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for professional growth and advancement CPA support and continuing education opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr SpectrumCareers
