Senior AVP Actuary, Life Reinsurance Pricing Leader

AVP & Actuary Individual Life Reinsurance and Pricing We are seeking a strategic and analytical AVP to support the Individual Life Reinsurance team in driving new business pricing initiatives. This role will report to the Head of Individual Life Reinsurance - New Business and work closely with other senior actuaries to ensure the development, implementation, and optimization of pricing strategies for new business. The ideal candidate will have a strong actuarial background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for innovation in the life reinsurance sector. Your Job Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Head of IL New Business Pricing and senior leadership to develop, design and execute strategic plans and initiatives Business Intelligence: Ensure that the business collects, analyzes, and synthesizes data to support informed decision-making, identifies trends and insights to drive business strategies and improve performance Operational Management: Oversee project management and cross-functional initiatives across MARC departments, facilitating communication and collaboration within and outside of IL Pricing Performance Monitoring: Track key metrics related to pricing initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement Talent development: Serve as a role model for more junior actuaries, participate in recruitment, and people development. For New York City based employees, the base salary range anticipated for this position is $261,596 to $289,132, plus an opportunity for an annual company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.
