Assistant Manager

Assistant ManagerAs part of the Subway® Team, you will focus on seven main things:Providing an excellent guest experienceEnsuring that great food is prepared & servedKeeping our restaurants functional, clean and beautifulControlling inventoryScheduling and supervising staffMaintaining standards of restaurant safety and securityBeing a team playerIn addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating workAssisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successfulAssisting with product ordering and inventory as neededAs a Subway® Team Member, you'll have access to:Brand partnership discountsScholarship opportunitiesOpportunity to earn university course creditsHands on career experience in a restaurant businessPrerequisites: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience. Essential functions: Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable. Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally. You will receive training on your roles and responsibilities. Full Time/Part Time and Day/Evening/Weekend shift positions vary by location.
