Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for OR days shifts. The position involves providing specialized perioperative care to surgical patients while managing pre-operative and post-operative responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive patient care in the operating room setting.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures, ensuring sterile techniques and safety protocols are followed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative changes promptly.
• Prepare operating rooms with appropriate instruments and supplies.
• Document patient information and surgical procedures accurately.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, safety guidelines, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of perioperative or OR nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification; pending NM/Compact license acceptable if obtained prior to start.
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical protocols, and patient safety measures.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and respond to call shifts as required.
• Prior travel experience preferred but not essential.
