Medical Admin Assistant

Job Title Medical Admin Assistant Department Salary $40,656 - $49,804; commensurate with experience Job Summary/Basic Function Greet patients and visitors, answer questions, assist with completing required medical forms, and perform patient check-in and check-out functions for clinic appointments. Process daily financial reconciliation of student medical charges by verifying procedures, testing, and medical supplies. Prepare daily reports and deposits by balancing credit card transactions, cash drawer receipts, RaiderFunds payments, and checks. Answer incoming calls to Student Health Services, schedule appropriate medical appointments, direct calls to the appropriate clinical staff, and respond to general inquiries. Back up/Support the Referral Coordinator in processing MTSU student immunization requirements for registration by entering immunization records into Banner and the student portal within PNC (electronic medical record system) to ensure registration and housing compliance. Back up/Support the Referral Coordinator in monitoring and responding to inquiries submitted through the Student Health Services email account (View email address on click.appcast.io), addressing requests and directing concerns as appropriate. Retrieve immunization information into the Tennessee Immunization Information System (TennIIS) for vaccines. Perform administrative and office support duties as assigned by the Clinical Office Manager and assist with daily operational functions of the department. Required Education High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required. Required Related Experience Three years secretarial/clerical experience required. Desirable Related Experience Experience in medical office setting or university office setting preferred.
