Day in the Life of a LPN/RN Follow policies and procedures to correctly identify patients and administer medication per the medical provider’s orders. Dispense daily and take‑home medication during the dosing window. Coordinate care with clinical and medical staff to ensure continuity of patient care. Maintain accurate patient documentation, including assessments for impairment. Ensure medication counts are accurate and completed daily. Follow compliance policies and procedures around documentation practices and expectations. Participate in nursing team meetings and cross‑treatment meetings. Connect with patients, offering empathy and a listening ear to those struggling. Education and Experience Requirements Licensed Practical or Registered Nurse license issued in the state in which you will practice or a multi‑state compact status license. License must be in good standing, unencumbered, and active. Disciplinary actions documented on any license will be reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis. Three or more years of nursing experience preferred. Strong phlebotomy skills; experience drawing blood from collapsed veins is a plus. Active and current CPR or BLS certification preferred.
