Material Movement Associate - I

Job Title: Material Movement Associate - I
D Shift Friday -Sunday, 6pm - 6am
Location: Merritt Island, FL / On-Site
Type: 3 -month Contract
Compensation: $28 per hour

Responsibilities
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating, monitoring, and escalating roadblocks that could cause downstream defects.
• Assist in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to inventory and process issues.
• Operate heavy equipment including PIT equipment, forklifts, electronic pallet jacks, reach-trucks, and turret-trucks, following safety procedures and maintenance practices.
• Receive shipments, unload deliveries, and visually inspect packages for compliance with SOP standards.
• Conduct quality control checks on incoming parts and shipments, ensuring adherence to requirements.
• Document receipts and work orders using inventory management tools, ensuring accurate data entry and record-keeping.
• Manage packaging, identifying appropriate materials and properly wrapping/storing parts throughout the workflow.
• Sort, stage, and move packages and storage containers securely to prevent loss.
• Label and mark parts with identifiers as outlined in SOPs for tracking and analysis.
• Properly store parts, perform storage audits, and ensure compliance with SOP guidelines.

Requirements
• Forklift experience is required, with the ability to drive forklift with training.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- DBIDS BADGE required
• Experience in fulfillment operations, including inventory counting, receiving, and packing.
• Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to support root cause analysis.
• Fundamental knowledge of heavy equipment operation, safety procedures, and maintenance.
• Ability to perform data entry and navigate inventory management systems.
• Excellent attention to detail for inspecting shipments, labeling, and quality checks.
