Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Summary:

Participate in management of manufacturing operations to provide customers with cost effective, quality product, safely and on time. Maintain department activity and supply training and aide when necessary. Provide management support and direction to department.

Preferred Educational Experience:

Associates or two year technical degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Work Experience:

Three (3) to five (5) years of proven leadership experience.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to perform all safety critical functions. The product must be built to the designated specs approved and can not be deviated or substituted. The control, performance and tolerance are essential for the part to function so that it does not jeopardize public safety or it’s compliance with government regulations.
• Must be able to recognize and call the critical characteristic symbols as listed on the blueprints.
• Communicate with other functions to provide needed material and equipment to department.
• Communicate with various functions to assure product is correct and on time.
• Assist department personnel to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Monthly reporting of department performance metrics
• Lead the department’s efforts to continually improve efficiencies and reduce costs while driving department goals.
• Provide training for personnel when necessary.
• Adhere to all Company policy/procedures and guidelines.
• Manage departments to effectively improve performance related to Safety, QA, delivery and productivity.
• Involvement in the hiring process, recommendations for disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Availability to work when supervisors assigned departments are working overtime or in back up capacity for other supervisors (potentially on off shifts).
• Create, review and deliver accurate and timely reviews to all employees.

Non-Essential Functions:

• Capable of completing all department specific tasks including: IFS, Scrap, OT sheets, Cycle counts
• Back up capacity for other supervisors, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Participate in the corrective action process as required.
• Assist and support Global operations as needed.
