Respiratory Therapist

Wallingford, CT | Full-Time | Nights | Three 12-Hour Shifts (36 Hours/Week) Gaylord Specialty Healthcare is dedicated exclusively to medical rehabilitation, helping patients recover from complex illness and injury while maximizing function and independence. We're seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our night shift team. This is an opportunity to work with medically complex patients in a collaborative rehabilitation setting where respiratory care plays a critical role in helping patients progress toward recovery. What You'll Do As a Respiratory Therapist at Gaylord, you will: Provide comprehensive respiratory care for medically complex rehabilitation patients Manage ventilators, airway care, secretion mobilization, and physician-ordered respiratory treatments Perform respiratory assessments, arterial blood gas analysis, and pulmonary mechanics Participate in patient mobility and interdisciplinary rehabilitation planning Assist with bedside bronchoscopies and other advanced respiratory procedures Respond as an active member of the Code Team, providing emergency airway management and life support Educate patients, families, students, and new staff on respiratory care Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the rehabilitation team to support the best possible patient outcomes Why Join Gaylord?
