CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist Hours: 1st Shift 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. Occasionally, overtime is available on Saturdays from 6AM-11AM Pay: $40-$45 Job Description The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathe machines. Responsibilities Perform advanced setup operations and adjust programming for numerically controlled machine tools. Work from blueprints and samples to install and adjust tooling and fixtures in lathe machines. Calculate and write programs for CNC lathes to fabricate component parts. Perform secondary machining operations on component parts as required. Insert computer programs into CNC lathe, set and adjust machine speeds and feeds, and modify programs as needed. Operate and monitor CNC lathe to perform progressive turning, boring, and drilling operations. Fabricate simple holding fixtures as required for machining operations. Essential Skills 7+ years of CNC Lathe machining experience or 10 years of machining experience. Proficiency in the use of cutting tools and measuring equipment. Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T). Experience with CNC Programming, specifically G code.
