In addition to performing the full scope of MA I and MA II responsibilities, the Team Lead MA helps coordinate team workflows, reinforce training, and contribute to a positive patient and staff experience. This role collaborates closely with departmental leadership and clinical teams to ensure consistent, high-quality care.**Job Description:****ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):**o Perform all MA I and MA II responsibilities, including patient rooming, clinical support, documentation, and care coordinationo Acts as a mentor and preceptor to Medical Assistants and student externso Serve as a team resource on clinical workflows, EMR use, and department standardso Monitors daily patient flow and address operational challenges (e.g., delays, room availability, supply issues) o Resolves immediate patient concerns and service recovery, escalates where and when appropriateo Supports provider efficiency and team coordination throughout the dayo Assists with onboarding, training, and reinforcing a positive patient experience, quality and safety protocolso Liaise with managers and clinical teams to address issues and improve workflowso Participates in or leads small-scale projects, quality initiatives, or workflow optimization effortso Reinforce clinical protocols, infection control practices, and departmental policieso Helps support staff scheduling and float coverage as needed **Qualifications**Educationo High school diploma or GED requiredo Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred Experienceo Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant experience required or associate’s degree or higher in lieu of Medical Assistant experience o Prior experience supporting clinical teams or projects strongly preferredo Licensure, Certification, Registrationo Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months of hireo Medical Assistant Certification preferred Skills, Knowledge & Abilitieso Proven ability to mentor, train, and support peers in clinical settingso Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to respond to day-to-day challengeso Proficient with EMR systems, clinical protocols, and patient flow best practiceso Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skillso Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control, and compliance standards**Pay Range:**$23.15 - $31.16The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
