Staff Backend Engineer - Data Platform

Responsibilities
- Access, ingest, normalize, and validate customer data.
- Build and maintain long-running workflows, APIs, data pipelines, customer-facing UIs, and scripts for automated and manual ingestion.
- Contribute to the team’s AI MCP services.
- Partner with Customer Success to build custom customer data models.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience building backend services and APIs as a backend engineer, full-stack engineer, data engineer, or similar.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL/dbt.
- Strong fluency with a modern orchestrator such as Dagster, Airflow, or Temporal.
- Experience with cloud data lakehouse or warehouse platforms such as BigQuery or Databricks.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud and AWS.
- Preferred experience with React or other frontend frameworks, Fivetran or Airbyte, Terraform, and commerce platforms such as Shopify or Amazon Seller/Vendor.
- Startup experience is a bonus.
