The Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical With Telemetry) at a healthcare facility in Lima, Ohio is responsible for providing direct, age-specific patient care during assigned shifts. Job Details

• Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts); minimum 36 hours per week; every other weekend
• Schedule: Every Other Weekend
• Required Qualifications: Active Ohio (OH) or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association (AHA)); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (AHA); ability to competently administer cardiac medications including diltiazem (Cardizem), amiodarone (Amiodarone), nitroglycerin (Nitro), heparin (Heparin), (Cardine), dobutamine (Dobutamine), furosemide (Lasix), and bumetanide (Bumex), including knowledge of titration and application; competence with telemetry and knowledge of heart rhythms; critical thinking to recognize changes in patient status and intervene; knowledge of signs and symptoms of stroke to recognize change in patient status and intervene; strong communication skills; Works with non-Registered Nurse staff (e.g., Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Patient Care Technician (PCT) and unit secretaries) in planning, directing, and teaching as appropriate
• Preferred Qualifications: Work history skills checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to Med Surg/Telemetry
