WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Hours/Days: Monday-Friday, work an 8-hour shift between 730a-430p. Will float within Michigan City area to cover in other practices.
  
• Provide exemplary customer service; greet and direct patients, family members, and other visitors.
  
• Answer incoming calls; respond to inquiries, or direct caller to appropriate staff for assistance.
  
• Schedule appointments and accurately enters data into scheduling system.
  
• Register patients and enters or updates demographic and insurance information into EMR system.
  
• Communicate with clinical staff to maintain patient flow and update waiting patients.
  
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor. Seeking someone who communicates well, works collaboratively with the team, remains positive in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable providing a welcoming experience for patients both in person and over the phone. Previous healthcare or medical office experience is preferred
  
• Collect patient payments; applies payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
  
• Balance daily encounter forms and cash drawers.
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required High School Diploma/GED
  
• 1 year Customer Service Required
  
• 1 year Healthcare Preferred
  

TRAVEL IS REQUIRED:

Up to 50%
