SKILLS REQUIRED

Primary (Must-Have) Google Cloud Native Security: Robust expertise utilizing IAM, KMS, Cloud Armor, DLP, and Security Command Center (SCC). VPC Service Controls: Hands‑on experience with VPC Control implementation, perimeter maintenance, and secure network architecture. Secret Manager: Enterprise‑level secret management, key rotation, and secure application configuration. Elastic SIEM: Deep experience with log ingestion, detection engineering, alert management, and threat correlation. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Production‑level Terraform expertise, including module development, infrastructure automation, and state management. Secondary (Good to Have) GKE/Kubernetes Security: Implementation of pod security admission, network policies, Workload Identity, and Binary Authorization. CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating automated security controls into pipelines using Harness or equivalent deployment platforms. Identity & Access Governance: Experience with ICAM or enterprise identity platforms governing non‑human identities and workload access. AI/ML Security Frameworks: Practical knowledge of Vertex AI workload protection, LLM API governance, and training data security.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an elite Senior Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Security Architect for a high-impact, hybrid engagement based in New York City. This role focuses on architecting, implementing, and securing cloud environments with an emphasis on Google Cloud-native security controls and Elastic SIEM integration. The successful candidate will design robust perimeters, automate security infrastructure via Terraform, and ensure the comprehensive monitoring and governance of cloud workloads.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Architect and maintain enterprise‑grade GCP security perimeters utilizing VPC Service Controls, advanced IAM frameworks, and Cloud Armor. Engineer and optimize Elastic SIEM systems, driving log ingestion strategies, advanced detection engineering, alert management, and proactive threat correlation. Develop, scale, and manage production‑ready Terraform modules to automate secure infrastructure deployment and enforce consistent state management. Secure containerized environments by defining and auditing GKE configurations, including pod security admission, network policies, and Workload Identity. Integrate automated security controls, scanning tools, and compliance checks directly into CI/CD deployment pipelines via Harness or equivalent orchestration engines. Govern non‑human identities and workload access by executing strict Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) enterprise principles. Evaluate and implement security frameworks for emerging AI/ML workloads, safeguarding Vertex AI environments, LLM APIs, and training data repositories.
