Clerical Assistant 3 Position

This position supports timekeeping and clerical processes that help SCI-Huntingdon operate smoothly and fairly. The role ensures staff receive accurate pay and provides needed support to the Human Resources Office. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:

• Daily Timekeeping: Enter payroll data for institution employees, entire staff, including vacation, overtime, substitutions, and walk time
• Leave Monitoring: Check leave usage and overtime entries to ensure accuracy and proper C4 adjustments
• Payroll Processing: Review biweekly absence reports and adjust overtime based on contract requirements
• Audit Corrections: Apply changes from Time and Attendance audit reports and research pay discrepancies
• Clerical Support: Assist with reports, tracking, and other human resource tasks as needed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time; possibly up to three days per week after successful completion of a six-month probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Huntingdon, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirement:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
