Role Overview :Responsible for translating the vision, goals and business requirements for a data analytics project or product into technical specifications. Designs fit-for-purpose data solutions using appropriate architectural design patterns that support business needs. Provides direction for data architecture design, planning and development and guides future updates and enhancements. Possesses a strong combination of IT, data governance, analytics, and creative skills. Plays a pivotal role in extending the next generation of the data ecosystem and operationalizing the most urgent data and analytics initiatives.Requirements –Bachelor's degree in data management, computer science, information systems, mathematics, data/analytics or a related field preferred or equivalent work experienceAt least 3-4 years of work experience in data management disciplines including data integration, data modeling, solutions architecture, optimization and data qualityKnowledge of business systems and processes and their impact on data and analytics objectivesAbility to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needsBusiness domain, data/content and process understandingUnderstanding of the Business Intelligence, Data Engineering and Data Science and Data Governance processes and platformsThorough knowledge of relational and non-relational database theory and structured query language (SQL)Understanding of common data architecture frameworksUnderstanding of metadata models, taxonomies and ontologies, as well as of the challenges of applying structured techniques (data modeling) to less-structured sourcesSkilled working across multiple deployment environments including cloud, on-premises and hybridAdept at applying software engineering methodologies and DevOps principles to data architectures and platforms to improve the communication, integration, reuse and automation of data flows across the organizationExceptional analytical, quantitative and logical problem-solving abilitiesMust be highly creative, collaborative, and able to communicate effectively with IT and businessCapacity to be productive when working independently or collaborativelyAbility to effectively manage time to handle competing high priority projectsLead and Principal Positions Requirements (in addition to requirements above)Significant experience in successfully launching, planning, executing data architecture projectsStrong employee development skills, which include onboarding, mentoring, and coaching staffAbility to analyze project, program and portfolio needs, as well as determine the resources needed to achieve objectives and overcome cross-functional barriersProven ability to establish the strategic direction of a team and manage analytics projectsPersuasive with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with others, including team members and senior managementSkilled in all areas of analytics personnel management, particularly employee selection, training, performance evaluation and salary developmentPayThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $155,000 - $165,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.Benefits:As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave.
