As a Barista at Scooter's Coffee, you help create an Amazing experience for every customer. You provide fast, friendly service and make high-quality drinks and food. You also help keep the store clean, safe, stocked, and ready to serve. Baristas work as a team in a fast-paced environment. Learn new skills and grow with our team. Have fun! Minimum Qualifications To be successful as a Barista, you must be able to: Provide friendly and fast customer service. Communicate clearly with customers and coworkers. Work well as part of a team. Learn and follow recipes, food safety rules, and store procedures. Handle several tasks at once in a fast-paced environment. Be dependable and arrive on time for scheduled shifts. Work a flexible schedule based on store needs. This may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Perform the essential duties of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Customer Service Greet each customer and make them feel welcome. Take orders in a friendly and accurate way. Answer questions about our menu and products. Suggest drinks, food, gift cards, or merchandise when appropriate. Process payments and follow cash-handling procedures. Thank each customer and show genuine appreciation. Drinks, Food & Speed Make drinks and food according to our recipes and quality standards. Serve orders quickly and accurately. Learn and follow all recipes and preparation steps. Keep work areas stocked and organized during each shift. Help the team provide fast service during busy times. Cleanliness & Food Safety Follow all food safety and sanitation standards. Use store equipment safely and correctly. Keep customer and work areas clean and organized. Clean and sanitize equipment, counters, utensils, and work areas. Restock food, drinks, merchandise, and supplies as needed. Follow company policies and store procedures. Teamwork & Communication Communicate clearly with coworkers and leaders. Work as a team to provide fast, Amazing service. Stay organized and adjust when priorities change. Help teammates when needed. Be willing to learn, accept feedback, and try new tasks. Additional Responsibilities Baristas may also: Help outside the drive-thru to take orders and support faster service. Take part in store promotions, which may include sign waving. Complete other tasks that support customers, the team, and store operations. Physical Demands & Work Environment Baristas are active throughout their shifts. The job may require you to: Stand and move around the store for long periods. Bend, reach, stoop, and use your hands throughout the shift. Handle cups, food, supplies, and store equipment. Lift and move products and supplies throughout the shift, including items weighing up to 50 pounds on occasion. Use a step stool or ladder to reach products and supplies. Communicate with customers and coworkers in a busy and sometimes loud environment. Work around hot liquids, food, cleaning products, and store equipment. Use drive-thru communication equipment when assigned. Work both inside and outside the store when needed. Outdoor work may take place in different weather conditions.
