Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Hendersonville, North Carolina.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Labor and Delivery\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/21/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 21, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring active NC or compact RN licensure and L&D experience across triage, delivery, postpartum, and OR/PACU duties.Details\n \n 8-bed LDRP unit with 7 overflow postpartum beds\n Nurses rotate through triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, OR circulating, PACU recovery, and nursery care for sick babies\n Ratio of 1:1 for critical situations such as Category III fetal heart rate or active pushing\n 2 nurses assigned per birth, one for mother and one for baby\n 1 nurse per 2-3 mother-baby couplets during postpartum care\n 12-hour night shifts\n 36 hours per week\n Requirements\n \n Active NC or compact RN license required\n L&D nursing experience required\n Charge experience is a plus but not required\n COVID vaccination card or approved declination required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Provide comprehensive care across triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, OR, and PACU settings\n Care for mother-baby couplets and assist with critical fetal monitoring situations\n Local candidates accepted at the same rate as traveler rate\n No radius rule for this position\n Permanent employees must be separated from the facility for 90 days before returning as a traveler\n Two doses of COVID-19 vaccine or an approved declination required; booster not currently required\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-752839.
