Virginia Independent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Telehealth

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)MySpectrum Counseling & Coaching is looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team through the provision of Telehealth. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an outpatient mental health practice, as well as experience providing Telehealth, to a variety of clients with a variety of mental health needs. This person is responsible for assessing patient need for medication, prescribing medication, medication management and monitoring, recording client progress, and educating patient and families as needed. Duties are performed using a HIPAA compliant web-based platform.Requirements:• Current, Virginia Board of Nursing and the Virginia Board of Medicine and Nursing to practice Independently as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority. • Current, DEA registration. • Examine, evaluate, diagnose and treat psychiatric and mental illnesses. • Experience working with other professionals to ensure best practice. • Skilled in the use of technology, software, and resources to assist and aid in the course of daily medical responsibilities. • Experience in documenting in the medical record and articulating and interacting with patients and others regarding clinical / administrative concerns or issues.Duties:Complete intake assessments for new clients referredComplete progress notes for every session in EHRSend prescriptions electronically to pharmacyMonitor psychiatric stabilityRequest labs when neededMonitor medical needs of clients and / or make appropriate referrals so that in person assessment can be conductedCollaborate with Therapists as appropriateCommunicate with administrative team to ensure smooth and timely client careBenefits and Perks:You can create your own hoursWork from home or from your own officeYou can live anywhere in the state of VirginiaCompetitive compensation based on a 60/40 split (bi-weekly pay based on appointments completed, not on what we have collected from insurance; you receive 60% of what we bill insurance regardless of if we get paid)Health insurance available if you average 30 or more billable sessions per week: medical, dental, vision (with employer and employee contribution)Retirement planning with up to 3% company matchCasual environment that promotes fun and creativity
