Travel RN – Medical Specialty Step Down (PCU/Med-Surg)

Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical Specialty Step Down Unit in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This unit provides care for patients with a wide range of medical conditions requiring close monitoring and specialized nursing care. The ideal candidate will have experience in Step Down, PCU, Telemetry, or Med-Surg settings and be comfortable caring for patients with varying levels of acuity.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff and assist with unit operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Active Oklahoma RN License or Compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
