Assistant Accountant

CBIZ Talent Solutions is assisting our client in their search for a Assistant Accountant . Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Assistant Accountant to serve as the primary and sole accounting professional on-site, responsible for managing all day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This hands-on role requires a highly self-sufficient and detail-oriented individual who can operate independently while maintaining strong communication with a remote Finance manager. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments Assist with the month-end close process, contributing to timely and accurate reporting Prepare and maintain trial balances Handle accounts payable and receivable processes Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Monitor and record daily financial transactions Maintain accurate records of inventory-related transactions Record and reconcile intercompany transactions accurately and timely Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies Qualifications Required 1-3+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Experience as a sole accountant, full-charge bookkeeper, or in a small-team environment Experience with intercompany accounting Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-based environment Experience with NetSuite CBIZ Talent Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
