Senior Healthcare Surveyor / Survey Reviewer

Job Title: Senior Healthcare Surveyor / Survey Reviewer (HCA/DHI #11008) This job posting may be used to fill multiple vacancies. Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two weeks of the closing date. The Senior Healthcare Surveyor / Survey Reviewer will: Review all surveyor reports and findings for licensed and certified healthcare facility surveys. How does it get done? The Senior Healthcare Surveyor / Survey Reviewer is responsible for: Ensuring deficiencies and citations are written according to Federal guidelines, with the correct State and/or Federal regulations cited. Ensuring deficiencies and citations have the necessary supporting documentation and/or evidence. Providing training and guidance to healthcare surveyors on writing deficiencies both verbally and in writing. Who are the customers? Healthcare Surveyors / Supervisors Nursing Home Providers New Mexico Residents receiving healthcare services Ideal Candidate The Ideal candidate has: Ability to think critically; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Flexibility; Experience working as a team player; Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment with deadlines. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Architecture, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Rehabilitation, and/or Criminal Justice and two (2) years directly related experience in community based healthcare services and case management. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Working Conditions Work is performed in the office setting with exposure to visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive computer and telephone usage. This position may require some in-state and out-of-state travel for training. Bargaining Unit Position This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement and all terms/conditions of that agreement apply and must be adhered to. #J-18808-Ljbffr
