Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Summary

We are seeking a flexible and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. This role primarily focuses on providing high-quality care to residents in a fast-paced and busy long-term care environment. Candidates must be open to working various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor resident vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff.
• Help maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Participate in the documentation and communication of resident care needs.
• Work collaboratively with other nursing staff and healthcare team members.
• Ensure compliance with all facility policies and procedures.

Shifts and Scheduling

Availability to work various shifts is required, including:

• Evenings: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Nights: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM
• Day shifts as needed: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Must be willing to work some weekends, as non-weekend schedules will not be accommodated. Shift assignments may vary based on facility needs.

Work Environment

The facility features three floors:

• First Floor: Primarily assisted living residents, with limited assignments.
• Second and Third Floors: Long-term care, with a typical CNA staffing ratio of 1:10-11 residents.

On evening and night shifts, the CNA will be the only staff member on the floor during specific hours. Candidates must be prepared for a fast-paced working environment.

Qualifications

• Minnesota CNA certification required.
• Must submit license verification ran within the last 30 days.
• Pending MN Net Study clearance will be accepted if accompanied by a letter stating Needing More Time.
• Must pass compliance requirements, including TB testing and any necessary vaccinations.

Facility Housing

Facility-provided housing is available, featuring:

• Single occupancy bedroom.
• Fully furnished with a TV, microwave, fridge, and air conditioning.

Please be advised of the housing rules, which include no smoking, alcohol use, or pets allowed.
