Concierge PT ( Weeknights 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM )

Concierge, Weekends 8:00 am - 7:30 pmStaff the reception desk. Monitors telephone, fax machine, resident call system, and exit alarm system. Performs clerical duties and other duties as assigned.Minimum Job Qualifications and RequirementsMust be 18 years of ageAbility to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance and customer serviceDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with residents, guests, and staffMeet state related requirements (if applicable to position)Ability to work in a team setting and be a team playerMaintain a positive, respectful, and professional approach with coworkers and residentsAbility to keep all business and operations information confidentialPossess organizational skills and ability to problem solvePossess excellent customer service and public relations skillsAbility to work under time constraints and meet department deadlines while adhering to policies, procedures, and standardsAbility to periodically move about on foot in the community to perform security checks and assist residents, particularly for long distances or periods of timeExperience in computer use and relevant software applications are preferredExperience with or the ability to use multi-line telephone systemSatisfactorily pass Sunshine's and state regulated criminal record clearance, health screening and TB clearance (if applicable)Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesStaff the reception desk continuously during assigned periodArranges coverage of reception desk during break and lunch periodsGraciously greets all visitors and politely assists them as necessaryPolitely assists residents and guests as necessary or contacts appropriate employee to provide assistanceMaintains detailed resident and guest Register, daily communication log entry, and completes daily checklist logNotify staff if resident is being taken out of the building; monitor front door to ensure residents do not exit the building without proper supervision (memory care communities)Maintains a clean and safe workspace, community entrance, lobby, and hydration stationPrepares refreshments and pours coffee in the dining room during mealtimes as neededSort and direct mail to managers, residents, or forwarding to family as neededHelp organize guest meal counts and record coupons and/or payment from residents (independent living communities)Promptly and courteously answers telephone, directing incoming communications to appropriate personMonitors fax machine, directing incoming communications to appropriate personMonitors and responds to resident call and exit alarm systems and effectively handles emergency procedures immediately. Contacts 911 if necessary and notifies management and families if a resident requires assistancePerforms clerical duties as directedNotify Maintenance Department of Community or resident maintenance requests. Perform maintenance duties as necessary when maintenance department is unavailableMaintains inventory control system for all office supplies and notifies manager of any needed suppliesPerforms simple, routine maintenance of office equipmentRepresents the Community to coworkers, visitors, and residents in professional, courteous, friendly mannerPerforms other duties as assigned by SupervisorOther Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform all work assigned for the agreed-upon salary, accepting no additional payment or non-perishable gifts from residents, vendors, Community Management, or othersMeet the assigned work requirements of the job.
