Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Charleston, South Carolina.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: OR - Operating Room\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 10 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 4x10hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 5, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an Operating Room RN for a Level I trauma academic medical center requiring SC or compact RN license and scrub experience.Details\n \n Main Operating Room within a Level I trauma, academic teaching hospital with 21 OR suites\n Covers all surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics\n Nursing team is 75% RN and 25% Certified Surgical Technologist, with RNs trained to scrub and circulate\n Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:30am-5:00pm\n On-call required, up to 4 call shifts every 4 weeks\n Weekend requirement of up to one working weekend shift every 4 weeks\n Required to work at least one holiday period (Christmas or New Year's)\n Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities\n EPIC charting system used\n Requirements\n \n Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required\n BLS certification required (AHA only)\n Radiation badge required, provided by agency\n 2 years of OR nursing experience strongly preferred\n Scrub experience strongly preferred\n EPIC EMR experience preferred\n Driver's license and SSN required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Work in a busy, nurse-driven, Magnet-designated department with cutting-edge surgical technology\n Facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 staffed beds\n Scrubs provided by facility\n Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval and unit needs\n During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams\n First-time travelers considered depending on position\n Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler\n Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis\n Radius rule of 60 miles applies, with non-local candidates prioritized\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-745760.
