As we grow, we remain committed to investing in our people, advancing our technical capabilities, and fostering a professional, team-oriented culture where employees can build long-term careers within a stable and expanding organization.BenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision CoverageCompany-Funded Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)401(k) Retirement Plan with up to 8% Match100% Company-Paid Life Insurance100% Company-Paid Short & Long-Term DisabilityEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Referral Bonus ProgramPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysOngoing Professional Training & DevelopmentOpportunities for AdvancementJob SummaryThe sanitary pipe welder position involves fabricating, fitting, and GTAW/TIG welding stainless steel process piping for food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdheres to all NAMS policies and OSHA regulationsTakes swift action to stop any imminent danger situations you may encounterPromptly reports all accidents and near misses, including minor first aid and property damages prior to end of shiftConducts daily workplace exams; identifies and promptly resolves potential hazards or immediately barricades area or equipment and contacts NAMS and/or the customer's safety team to resolvePerform high-purity TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel sanitary tubing and piping (typically 304L or 316L)Perform purge welding to ensure zero oxidation on the inner diameter of the weldRead and interpret isometric drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and blueprint schematicsFit and fabricate piping assemblies, ensuring precise alignment and sanitary standards with smooth, flush jointsGrind, polish, and finish welds to meet sanitary surface roughness requirementsAdhere to ASME PBE standards and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) requirementsConduct self-inspections of welds including borescope inspectionPerforms other duties as assigned.Requirements and QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED; technical trades training a plus1 year of relevant experience in sanitary pipe welding (food, dairy, pharma)Proficiency in GTAW/TIG welding process, specifically on thin-wall stainless steelAWS certification preferred (6G)Experience with automated orbital welding equipment preferredStrong knowledge of purge welding techniquesAbility to read blueprints and isometric drawingsMust be able to pass a weld test, including x-ray or coupon testingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood physical condition and staminaForklift and mobile elevated work platforms experience requiredValid Driver's License with an acceptable driving recordAbility to use a variety of tools including blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches; owns tools needed to perform tasksPhysical Requirements:Frequently required to walk, sit, stand, balance, stoop, bend, push, pull, lift, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb stairs/ladders and use of handsProlonged periods standing and stretching to install and repair pipes and pipe fittingsMust have vision, hearing, and ability to talkAbility to work in confined spaces, at heights, and lift up to 50 poundsExposure to hot/cold temperaturesComfortable working in industrial environments, including food processing plantsNorth American Millwright Services, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer
