A well-established veterinary compounding pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist with strong non-sterile compounding skills to join their close-knit team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a growing environment focused on providing customized medications primarily for animal patients, including equine prescriptions. Located in Hartselle, AL, about 30 minutes from Huntsville, this position requires an active Alabama Pharmacist license and a commitment to quality and collaboration.

Location: Hartselle, AL (local candidates preferred)

Start Date: ASAP, ideally seamless transition following 11/5

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support a team of 3–4 pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth daily operations
• Perform prescription verification and manage workflow efficiently
• Review established formulations and uphold accuracy and consistency in compounding
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and quality standards
• Assist with inventory management and support operational efficiency
• Foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment with a proactive approach

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Alabama Pharmacist license (required)
• Strong background in non-sterile compounding
• Experience supervising technicians and managing pharmacy workflow
• Excellent attention to detail and adaptability
• Team-first mindset with a strong work ethic
• Veterinary, animal, or equine compounding experience is highly preferred
• Experience in high-volume compounding environments is a plus
• Familiarity with Pharmetica system is advantageous, though training is provided
